It is our great honor to invite you to the 32nd edition of the International Symposium "Deltas and Wetlands" 2025, which will be held in Tulcea, Romania, between May 12 - 16, 2025, under “Deltas and Wetlands DDNI Scientific Event Community”. The value of the Symposium has increased from year to year, winning a beautiful tradition and the most recent achievements of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve and other wetlands. Thus, the Symposium creates the possibility to identify and discuss the scientific aspects related to the implementation of the European Environmental Directives at national level as well as those related to the cross-border and interregional cooperation. The Symposium is structured in 4 main sections, covering a large range of research fields: biodiversity assessment, aquatic ecology, natural resources, ecological restoration and human impact, new research approaches in EU climate change challenge - Neutral carbon 2050, GIS and Application System Modeling. The participants will have the opportunity to communicate their research results through oral presentations and posters. The agenda of the event integrates: • Plenary presentations of personalities from the scientific world Keynote Speakers, • Scientific communications oral and posters in the 4 sections, • Green Deal Challenges - Decarbonising Danube Delta: 3D Initiative, • Roundtables debate, PICO - Business approaches • Posters presentations, Symposium Interviews, • Application in the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, one of the largest European wetlands known for its biodiversity and unique habitats, hosting an amazing range of habitats and life forms, a real museum of biodiversity, a natural genetic bank with incalculable value for the worldwide natural heritage. We would like this event to be an absolutely memorable one, that offers to participants a meeting place where experience and knowledge can be shared and exchanged, whether they are researchers, private companies or government institutions.
