Coming out of the pandemic, we have learnt to adapt to remote communication situations without diminishing our scientific intellectual ability to contribute to the world of science. We also learnt that a one health approach is needed in solving health crises, involving fundamental research ideas, advanced medical diagnosis, public health and digital healthcare applications. In a nutshell, a transdisiplinary approach is what we needed to look forward at that moment and into the future. The future of scientific research relies on transdiciplinary research that integrates knowledge across academic disciplines with solutions relevant to society. The conference theme “Transdisciplinary Research in Shaping Future Health Sciences” aims to bridge the gap between disciplines through innovation, research and ideas on scientific issues of the day.
